Universal Genève Polerouter Sub: My " candy " of the day.
In the Universe of Super Compressor cases, the Universal Genève is a strong competitor. Less famous than the Longines Diver, the Jaeger Lecoultre Polaris or the Vulcain Cricket Nautical, it is not less interesting.
Not the watch I most often wear, but certainly one which gives me a lot of pleasure.
The Polerouter Sub is one of the rare Super Compressor to share something with its famous competitors mentionned above: It has an in house movement.
That will be my watch of the day, today:

It's been 7 years, now, that I own it. And I still wonder why I don't have a few other U.G in my collection.

Does the casket not interfere with the jib?
Or whatever the foresail is called in English - my nautical terminology being poor in that language.
Speaking of UG
What is your take on the more modern ones with the new Microtor movement?
I must confess that I know almost nothing, which is a pity...
Because a micro rotor is always something apart in the modern production.

I have to say, it has a very nice, strong appeal on my wrist,
also sizewise, quite timeless.
- And the Compressor case.. nice !
( Also goes nicely along with some few of my own Compressors,
ie Polaris, MMC are all I have up to now..)
Like the larger wear by this UG Vintage, sort of benevolent power..
