Horological Meandering

Tried and true travel companion for at least the last 10 years. It is the watch that I wear always when I travel but bring one or two others for a change or for dress depending on the anticipated need.

Goofy yellow = vacation.

Ah! For travels, I often use this one...

Without forgetting this one, of course.

I can see now how this topic...............

could completely spin out of control! Love the UN BTW, I wouldn't mind traveling on vacations with that one either!
Tony

That was inevitable. ;) [nt]

I do travel with mine as well. Whenever I travel security is a variable that I consider. As my Sonata is RG I am cautious where I go and what I bring. When I do travel with it I always use the alarm function. [nt]

True. While, in white metal, you don't risk too much. Bad guys are only interested in Rolexes. ;) [nt]

Absolutely agree which is why I don't own any Rolexes but that's another discussion. [nt]

and not to leave my wife out, the last 5 years this JLC ladies Master Compressor Chrono has been her companion. It has seen just as much vacation time as my Panerai............

Most of them have been with me.

I'll at least take 2 watches with me. Because...well...for god's sake....why any less??

Tag 1500, Omega Seamaster TI

Tag 1500 series is my daytime pool and beach watch, been every where with me since I graduated high school. The Omega Seamaster titanium for night time, light and fun to wear.

I typically only travel with one watch and never take it off. This concept is something I spend countless hours thinking about. Big on adding the blue AP Royal to the collection, everose yacht master, and or the JLC Vintage Cermet.

Local boat in Coron.

Excellent. You can do everything with that one. And very nice looking! [nt]

This is my choice for the summer vacation:

 By: massi. : June 1st, 2016-02:45
a Stowa Flieger, hand winding, with a olive green nylon strap. Steel case and water resistant up to 50 meters

with a good lume.

and a nice b-side... I love this big balance wheel, ticking slowly at 18.000 a/h!

Best,

massi

I am a pathologic vacation-watch-seeker ...

 By: Marcus Hanke : June 1st, 2016-03:13
... that appears to be some kind of a Holy Grail: ever so close, but never really there. Many of my watch reviews reflect that quest. My perfect vacation watch should offer perfect legibility, be rock solid, be not boring, offer a weekday display and a chronograph, or at least a revolving bezel, rubber strap ...

These are but a few of my requirements, and through all the years I have hoped to find the one and only vacation watch, but in vain.
