Hello Amanico, you are correct, the monnant looks like a GMT. The bezel is also bi-directional which makes it act more like a gmt than a diver. I could not find a lot of information on the watch. Here is a snippet I got off the Hodinkee site. "There is little known about the watch company Jacques Monnat – only that it was owned by Palmer Sales Corps, based in New York City. You may recognize this watch, as other brands – such as Wakmann – created a similar combination of case, dial, and movement. " I think that Jenny watch company provided watches, watch design and cases to Jacques Monnat but that's about all I can find. I think the watch was originally waterproof but not a diver. The Pierce Chronograph was the first Chronograph to use a vertical clutch in their mechanism (they invented it). Pierce made their own movements and to use the chronograph you use the bottom pusher to start and stop and the top pusher to reset. They started in the 30's with a monopusher but mine is from the 40s/50s. This is the only rose gold chronograph I've ever seen from Pierce. These are getting more and more difficult to service as the parts are hard to come by. The Hahn Landeron mono pusher is from the 30's and I suspect a converted pocket watch movement. This one ticks loudly and I think has a shorter running time of about 36 hours. Thanks for the questions
