Horological Meandering

Dear all, I have been following puristpro for years, learning so much from all the members. I guess in a way I have reached a stage where I thought it make sense to make my first posting.

Please find a picture of my humble collection. Question to members is what should I get next? I am thinking of a reverso. Cheers!

Thanks. I grew up looking at my dad's Rolex hence the 6694 was my first serious watch (used up my savings then). Along the way I have traded a few and eventually reached this stage. Not wanting to fix a direction with my collection but with a (very) limited budget I have been entertaining two thoughts: (1) to look at the signature pieces of each brand (which might mean choosing one of many since nowadays many brands have multiple signature models), and (2) a collection which meets all my requirements e.g. One for work, for play, for weekends, travels etc.

The above approach is by no means cast in stone and clearly all the nice pictures on this forum only makes it all the more difficult (but fun). Looking forward to hearing views from seasoned members on how to choose my next one. I am based in Singapore by the way.

As for the next piece - maybe something more refined and sleeker? Perhaps a manual-winding dress watch?

Choices are many and there are no wrong ones.
To be an enthusiast does not require you to have any watches
To be a collector has no demand on numbers or principles.
To have a collection requires no minimum numbers or theme.

Just get what you like and ok will one in time.

Something along the line of perhaps a VC Patrimony Traditionelle Small Seconds or a Lange Saxonia... Or maybe a Moser & Cie if you are looking for a more esoteric piece..

You have a very nice collection. A Reverso is a solid choice; you cannot go wrong there. And you should be able to find one at any budget. Good luck.

I would also suggest something smaller and more 'classical' if that fits in with your lifestyle?

A brand not represented is Lange - perhaps the new Saxonia 37mm (very reasonably priced) or an older Lange 1 (stealth and Darth being two favorites) would be of interest?

As to what's next, your idea about a Reverso is spot on! Maybe a Rouge to spice your collection a bit?

What you have already is more than most people would. But you are in Singapore so maybe your calibration is set for local standards...hehehe.

An extra flat dress watch may be the next choice but as I recall, my tuxedo only came out once or twice a year when I lived in Singapore. 

The new steel cased L.U.C 1860 XPS is very reasonably priced; surprisingly even less than my steel Chopard Mile Miglia ???

I agree with some of the other fellas that have replied, go for something classic and dressy.  No date, hand wound perhaps.  I'd stick with steel to keep the cost down and also because you seem like a tough watch guy.  Maybe even a portuguieser hand wound?  I really like IWC myself, but a JLC would be cool as well.  If you want to go for a precious metal, then I think Lange.  Lange all the way!

Thats a very nice collection you have...very balanced. And like many here have mentioned, missing a dressier watch...PSM Resilience, maybe?

Maybe a independent? Dornblüth & Sohn? Or perhaps something more out of the box like a Sarpaneva?
