A nice looking two register chronograph..
I stumbled across this new model today on the Junghans site (images taken from there).
The new Meister Driver Chronoscope has a fresh look I think. A clean dial with some coloured accents, 40mm case, only 12.5mm thick and with an automatic movement at a good price point.
What do you think? I have never bought one of their pieces but I like some of them including the Max Bill line.

I like them on pics.
Being 40mm, probably I would like them on the wrist. I need to see them live to know if I really like them. When they were released I though they looked pretty cool, but I'm not sure. Dial on the first one looks to me a bit like the titanium Mille Miglia from 2001, mixed with a bit of some Porsche Design watches. I would go for the Max Bill Chronograph with white dial, I like the Bauhaus look a lot.

I really like the thinness and the overall design, I worry about the acrylic glass but I should not, the lenses of my glasses are made of plastic. Good idea for Christmas!

The first is attractive, but fundamentally flawed...
by which I mean that there is no sensible color coordination of the hands. This has been an issue since chronographs were first produced, though some companies have designed them thoughtfully.
The vintage Roamer below is one that I own, and it should be easy to see that the chronograph functions are tied together by the red hands, while the time functions are denoted by white. This may seem trivial, but for practical purposes, and especially at a quick glance, it is a distinct advantage to have such coordination.

I am totally with you here, the cardinaly sin of chronograph manufacturers, happen when design rules supreme...
the funny thing is if you point that out to marketing people - I guarantee you they won't understand and look at you as if you were some weirdo...

I just received my driver with the black dial. Hours, minutes and small seconds dial.
Is this the one....
with Arabic numerals? If so, it is the nicest. Pretty handsome watch. Congratulations watch-er. Cheers Edward
Lovely design
on this driver range and also the Max Bill. I owned an automatic Max Bill for a while but unfortunately I felt they did not keep time as well as the other German brands which perhaps is to be expected at their price level. Perhaps the drivers range with the Pessaux movements would perform better.
