Three years later, said friend passed away under tragic circumstances. Even though I'm not the superstitious sort, I let it go as wearing it was a reminder of his death. (Years later, when I'd gotten over my friend's early demise, I tried to talk mrsnak into selling it back, but by then it had become one of the favorites in his collection.)
The next vintage in my collection was Black Connie . . .

. . . which has been a constant companion for going on nine years now.
