What was your first vintage watch?
The Eterna Sevenday Fastbeat has been my first vintage watch, and a NOS to boot. I suppose it gets much less wrist time than it deserves but it is such a charming piece every time I put it on. Reminds me of the funkiness of the era in which it was born and is in many ways more playful than what the 'serious' brands would allow themselves these days.
Now unfortunately I do not have a wooden beam to display it on, Blomman style but this background somehow fits for the watch IMHO. 
So what has been your gateway drug into the vintage world? Or what is it likely to be, in case you are still to enter?

I'm more modern than vintage but I still own few of them
The very first one was my Hamilton Otis "Reverso" from 1938. Almost 80 years old now WOW!!! What I particularly love is its history.

Not greatly
More a case it's there if I want it. Applies to all my alarms, not just a Bellmatic.
Alarm quite quiet - might be function of age. If you're wearing it you'll notice it , but not sure if you'd be woken by it of a morning.
If you want loud - a cricket is the way to go, or my Oris alarm is also pretty loud.
Think it's probably something akin to having a chronograph - nice to have, but not necessarily used that much.
Have to say been pretty much spot on since had it. Also they're not hugely expensive so easy to get & also lots of choices in terms of style & dials.
I've been very happy with mine & for me one of the iconic alarms.

Yes, it was and it marked my forever and permanent love of vintage watches especially OMEGA. It is the brand of which I have the most of vintage watches and plan to add more
Also as I said a while back, I am a very modest collector but when budget allows and permits to buy a watch, I hunt very very meticulously and toroughly, this is how I purchased three great vintage Omegas this summer.
