Heading to HK and I'm just asking as to where is the best place to have a look at watches in one place. is there a main st like bond st in London where most of the shops are? It's an Easter break with my wife and kids so I can't be wandering off everywhere.
You may go to Tsim Sha Tsui 1881 Heritage (ex marine police headquarter) which has all the major brands boutique. Hong Kong is a small place and you can travel to other places with shops selling new or preowned watches, such as Causeway Bay, Central and Mongkok, within half an hour. Hope you enjoy your trip.
Will do, if I see something nice. I did that once in Lisbon

A norwegian guy sitting in a street cafe had a Big Bang tourbillon when I was walking by, he was quite nice about it but I got the feeling he was a little nervous
Glad to see its better than the rest, I've done NY and London but imho Dubai had by far the most variety of watches you don't normally see, but now it seems HK can do better, now I'm looking more forward to the trip. Iooks like they open late so, i think ill have to ditch the family at the hotel in the evening or twist their arms! Super info, cheers. Steve
Shops on the HK island side especially those in Central/ Admiralty close at around 8pm. Where as those in the Tsim Sha Tsui (Kowloon) side open to around 10pm.
Every other street corner is an authorized Rolex dealer

I'm not kidding either!
Here's a wonderful post from the late Hans Zbinden whose online articles influenced me a lot in my watch collecting when I started this crazy hobby back in the year 2000.
