SALMANQ8,
Thanks for that reference.
With government experience spanning two Great Wars, Sir Winston was not famous for his reticence.
However, those experiences must have taught him to sometimes keep quiet and listen.
There are many who quick-fire "half-cocked" here before knowing all the facts and even refuse to listen to facts anyway.
Those are lost causes but being PuristS, we still tender unto them the generosity of our listening.

Remarque,
In general, I agree with you.
One watch brand owner said to me: I expect my watch to be liked by one third of the people, hated by another third and leaving the last group for me to convince. That shows my design is not boring.
After nearly two decades, I have learnt to be more sanguine and watch the young (and not-so-young) whipper snappers beat themselves off into a frenzy: frothing and snorting with indignation.
Alas, emotion is the key driver of human behaviour.
We feel, we care, we react.
That's what makes moderating a global discussion site like PuristSPro so challenging.
Cultural differences, Society norms, and Local conventions are always misunderstood by other regions. In some cultures, greeting someone with the question, "Have you eaten yet?" or "Have you made money?" is normal and polite. It is an anathema to others.
Regards,
MTF
