Yes, it’s not in-house but it is a milestone in mass-produced chrono movements and helped many watch brands survive the quartz onslaught. Furthermore, it is tough as nails, can be regulated to COSC precision level and was designed with simplicity in mind. It deserves a place in horology‘s history books!

A true timeless classic. I was told at Bucherer that soon also the regular non-special edition Portugieser Classics will have in-house movements while the design will remain. [nt]
