AD in milan/sils
Hi everyone,
I have a business trip planned in a few weeks. I currently live in NYC but will be traveling to Milan and Sils Switzerland.
Unfortunately I am one of the many silly people looking to get a steel sports watch...
Any recommendations of AD/boutiques for me to check out while I am in Europe?
Or is the situation for steel sports watches all the same all around the world?

Good luck trying SS Sports Rolex or PP in Europe, especially if youโre a tourist...
They reserve those for their local or loyal customers.
However, if you get that 5004p, the vaults opens up ๐๐
Reality but true.
In Milan, most boutiques are located at or around
Via Montenapoleone (Rolex, AP, Panerai, Omega, PP, VC etc.). Maybe you can find something interesting at the VC boutique which is run by Pisa. The PP boutique is just next door also run by Pisa. Best, V.
In Milano there are three Patek ADs within walking distance (from each other and from the center)..
I often visit Pisa and Verga even just for a coffee, where you'll find the most friendly and prepared folks. Pisa has now essentially colonized the entire upper portion of Via Verri, down until the corner with Montenapo, so that will be a terrific trip for you to have at their various boutiques and the flagship. Their huge Rolex boutique and then an AP boutique are also within a few minute walk.
This is what a Milano AD pulled out from the safe the last time I dropped by, just to give you an idea of their level of equipment with Patek! (not sure if the 6102s would have been available for a first-time customer, but I'm sure they'll be more than happy to show them to you if you just ask).
Of course, just don't expect to be offered the sports watches for which everyone else has been waiting 10 years, if that's the first time you drop by (in Milano like anywhere else on this planet ;-)

Maybe you will have more luck with second hand watch shops? They may have what you are looking for, but expect to pay a premium... [nt]

In my city, you can get 5711, 5712 or 5980 w/out begging right away!..but at least 2x retail if not more
Stop by GMT Italia in Milan!
If you want to see some amazing independent brands (FP Journe, Urwerk, Kari V etc) stop by GMT Italia in Milan. It's only a 10 minute walk away from Pisa and the others mentioned above and you'll get to see some great pieces from independents
