New watch - Rado captain cook "ghost captain"
Was looking for something to add to the collection that could fit into low profile (given watch theft going up, plus good for vacation or pool where I had been wearing my sub), dive watch, not large. I have never owned a rado and don't really follow them. I know of their ceramic offerings, but just that they were some of the first in market
The other day I was looking at the revolution watch site and saw a rado X revolution collaboration that intrigued me. Fit the criterion, and was a cool grey theme which I also have been looking for. At 37.3 mm it is small, but wears much bigger because of the bezel. Not thick. Clean simple dial. Box crystal. Fun little watch. It was a pain to get here from Singapore and sit in customs and then was on customs hold 🤷‍♂️ but finally all is well. I am used to us AD overnight shipping 🤣

Normally I agree for a weekend watch
Actually during the work week I don't mind the date!

The watch is very nice and I really like and the brand I love, I have the ceramic given by my dad, that he bought in 1989 and used it for a lot of years, and it’s holding up although it’s quartz.
The interesting part is that in general weekdays and workdays I use more casual and sport watches on the lower end, vs at night and weekends I’ll wear higher end, and your doing the opposite!
On another note is we have taken the Rolex and other high value watches and started keeping it in safes (which I’m not opposed too), instead of using it for what it’s made for swimming, climbing, working, hiking and etc!

Times changing
For me my submariner was the ultimate vacation watch. Wear in pool, on beach, to dinner. This is partly because this is my only steel bracelet watch. But also because my other watches tended to be nicer. Now people getting robbed for rolex it seems silly. I'd rather wear my laurent ferrier but that doesn't have the same go anywhere attitude, so this will work for that.

The 37mm fits you well.
For the summer I have my 42mm bronze version fitted with a Barton Elite rubber strap : great quality for the price,very good comfort and plenty of color choices.

Great watch. I have tried this in singapore in the metal. It’s a perfect “low profile” dive watch. Congrats.
