Vintage watches each have a character and patina unique to itself.
No two are identical.
With a new watch you need to own it for a while to get that patina and then it's vintage.

Well, how about the possibility of incorrect parts used in a previous service or even worse -counterfeit parts. A vintage watch is the ultimate “you don’t know-what you don’t know” certainty not for everyone!

part of my hobby is doing the research, hunting down parts if need be, securing said parts, verifying and then verifying, and verifying again all that involves the particular model and make ........ and lastly ....... I AM ONE OF THE COLLECTORS THAT COLLECTS VINTAGE WATCHES ... to each his own right ? not ur thing ... thats ok by me ... never would i say anything to look down on what ur into ... i don't walk in your shoes ... why would i assume what works for me .. should work for U?
