Joined the Doxa club
A little history first, I first became aware of the Doxa brand from a very early Clive Cussler novel, which I read when I was 19 yrs old. When I finished the Mediterranean Caper, I noticed in his bio that he lived one town away. I looked him up in the yellow pages ( a blast from the past ) and asked if he would be willing to autograph my books. He invited me to his home and when I arrived , he proceeded to show me a 4 ft model of the Titanic and explained that he had just completed a book “ Raise the Titanic “ w/Dirk Pitt that would be out soon. He signed my books and showed me a couple of his classic cars, that were profiled in his books. Incidentally, there’s a Cussler car museum in Denver. He had really excellent taste in automobiles. He was so accommodating and friendly, it really made an impression on me.

What makes this special is the blue MOP dial, many of you know that I have a blue problem.

I’ve been admiring Bill’s Doxa collection and Arronax’s recent pic, which sent me down the rabbit hole and I stumbled upon the 300B models. The 300B has a more Urban look, but still has the Doxa chops. This particular 300B is a LTD in conjunction with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, the blue MOP dial really spoke to me.

Great story. I used to read a lot of Clive Cussler books, Dirk Pitt was the epitome of cool in my eyes.
Also such a good looking dial, it looks like a beautiful sea under the sun, have lots of fun with your watch.

Thanks Derreck! That’s exactly how I saw Pitt and the stories always seem to have a basis of fact to build on, I’m might go back and read a few of my favorites.

I was seriously considering the Caribbean and the Sea Emerald, then I stumbled onto the MOP.
your blue is beautiful and does look like the Caribbean! So many shades of blue and so little time ;-)
