Window shopping - Breitling Chronomat
Any thoughts on this 42mm Chronomat from fellow purist? I have been quietly considering adding a Breitling at one point to my collection and the Chronomat is a strong contender. It reminds me of my dad who wore one all his life. I am not sure I like it with the metal bracelet but I love the wrist presence with the rubber strap as well as the gold accent. So far in 2025 I got rid of a lot of watch that no longer spoke to me, and I have yet to add anything new. I am letting my taste simmer a bit

A good way to think about it my friend. Well it does not yet fully sings to me so I will first finish the "purge" from the current collection before starting to add more
That could be a good option. The appeal of the Chronomat was more an emotional connection as it was my dad's favorite reference (he very recently pasted away)
I find it a very nice watch, particularly on this green strap. I saw also some nice dial variations, green for instance.

The personal connection to the line will probably be a stronger argument than anything rational. It looks better on the strap to my eyes, too 😊
