I am really happy to see British designed and made watches, they are different, interesting and most importantly fun ππ
Obviously, I'd love to see them all in person, from the pictures you've shared, the cushion-shaped Fears, and the splendidly green Alison Moriarty stand out to me the most aesthetically-speaking ....
We snuck in an Irish one thereβ¦for old times sake ! LOL (Moriarty Watches)

On a more serious note, the watch from Alison Moriarty is all about the dial. She is doing the enamel work herself, and then I believe other parts are sourced externally with the complete watches then being assembled by her in her home workshop in County Clare Ireland.
She is of the same generation as Stephen McGonigle and if not in the same class I believe they were at least both attending (the now closed) Irish Swiss Institute of Horology at the same time. She then went onto WOSTEP in Neuchatel but I believe returned home following that.
After years away from her trained skillset as a watchmaker, and after some life altering events, she got back into this side of things after rekindling an interest / love in enameling.
The base dials are very nicely done, I really like some of the output that Iβve seen her post pictures of. The printing style has moved more towards what my eye likes more recently and I also believe they are sourcing a new case and some other parts.
This is what I love about these regional watch shows, you discover amazing talents like Alison Moriarty, I have fallen in love with her work and her story is so moving and inspirational, once I get the chance I will post more about her work and her.......

Journey in a separate thread, hope you'll help me with your insights, she deserves more recognition imho
Thank you. I wrote Fears in advance of the show and immediately after and alas I secured one of the 25 pieces. It was love at first sight even though I had hesitations...

The silver case despite its roots in pocket watches, the movement albeit an upgraded LJP G121M, and all the outsourced components of the watch, but the overall execution is my cup of tea and the price was fair IMO. Yes, I will share some live photos and first impressions when it arrives. They were having a minor issue with the case back, but it shouldn't be too long of a wait. Kindest regards,
