Horological Meandering

I have a swiss watch that say's Turler on a green enameld face with white roman numbers  has on the outside of watch case  where green leather band  attaches  engraved or staamped Plaqueg20 and some kind of hallmark  It says on the iside on the watch movemnt 17 jewels and swiss made on inside bottom case is says  Fond Acier Inoxydable  swiss made  and out ide it has numbers 2142  1. If any one has any info on this watch and what the value might be  would be greatly apprecited

... in Zurich. It was - and still is - common for these traditional houses to issue watches under their own brand name. Sometimes, even famous watch manufacturers would produce watches with only the customer's brand name on the dial, or together with the manufacturer's name. For example, there are fine Patek watches showing the name of Bucherer, another Swiss jeweller.

IN the case of Türler, the history was a bit different, however. The company was founded in 1883 in Biel, as a watch manufacturer. Only later, the business shifted its focus on selling watches, after the company was relocated to Zurich, inthe house where is still resides today (Paradeplatz). I am quite certain that Türler does not produce its own watches today, maybe orders them from a private label manufacturer.
