sought after brand by die hard core collectors and enthusiasts. I hear no discussions regarding them nor hear of any excitement regarding their watches like I would hear and read about Chopards latest LUC pieces or amazing works by independents like Vianney Halter, Urwerk or Voutilainen pieces.
Just to my untrainied eye they seem to be making very nicely finished watches in the classical style with sought after complications yet their prices are low in comparison to similar pieces offered by other brands. Is there something I'm missing?
Looking forward to your opinions.

Chronoswiss does not make its own movements, lack of marketing, and its design may not be everyone's taste, all these could be contributors. From the see-through caseback, I could tell their movement quality is a league below the high end /mid-tier brands JLCs, IWC, GO brands. However, their price point is quite competitive.
I owned one and lost interest in them very quickly, don't know why.
Those of us that admire Chronoswiss would like to keep this secret a little longer please
The Delphis was one of my first purchases and I still lose track of time gazing at the blued hand spanning the silver guilloched dial.
Like you've already summarized, very classic lines (although sometimes edgy like the Chronomaster when it was first released) and a great assortment of various complications (I think they rival JLC in the breadth of their offerings). I am always amazed when I take a look at the little tag on the buckle.
Do I care that the complications are not "integrated" but are modular? No. Seriously you can spend your money on an Harry Winston Opus 7 and if you look carefully you can find an Andreas Strehler designed novel mechanism in Chronoswiss as well.
You have a good eye Salman!
Cheers, Mike
Mike,
Delphis is also one of the current Mrs MTF's favourite 'daily" watches. Hers is a 2-tone rose gold and stainless steel one, which, apparently is easier for ladies to coordinate their jewelry: she can wear any of the white metals and/or pink/rose gold....
The jumping hour adds a frisson of excitement every hour, anticipating the jump that invariably is almost to the second.
It's one of the few watches that she does not let me borrow........
Regards,
MTF
Here in Germany Chronoswiss has a very good reputation, which is reflected by the numerous awards Mr. Lang and his company Chronoswiss received during the past two decades since the foundation of Chronoswiss (for the full list please have a look at their website). I had the great pleasure of meeting Mr. Lang personally at the Baselworld 2006 and I found myself talking with an enthusiastic watchmaker rather then a cool businessman. Chronoswiss don't make a secret out of the fact that major parts of their movements are not made inhouse. But the movements are finished to a very high standard and the scope of the variations is just amazing. The 'Lunar Full Calendar' is on top of my wife's wishlist. The 'Timemaster Chronograph Date' with the big 'onion-crown' is on top of mine.
Best regards from Germany,
Heinrich
rose gold Delphis and classic Timemaster hand wound, and I think they are great watches. Timemaster spend lot's of time on my wrist while riding my motorcycle, and is keeping excellent time so far, Delphis will be pretty soon for sale but only because my shift into stainless steel or white gold watches.

an opus and a rattrapante chrono.
the delphis is one of the few watches i've kept after sending 225 other pieces to auction. its a beautiful and unique piece. the opus has a very complicated dial and the skeletonisation could be better quality IMO. rattrapante was lovely, but again just a chrono. i sold both of those a couple of years ago when i needed a new car.
again IMO the delphis is the one to own as its a piece of art on your wrist and Mr Lange deserves more credit from the watchworld. i'd love an opusV or similar but could buy a terrace house where i live for the price. life is full of compromises and the delphis is a compromise i can live with for ever.
