Its just a very personal thing when i comes to design and styling i guess Some just like the BR02 and some stick to the BR01...i was toying with the idea of having both toying....i have not own a diver watch before, aesthetically i meant. Not exactly into diving but love the look of diving watches

I prefer the original, square case though, the shape of the new diver's watch is not to my taste.

It is like have two good wines from different regions right after each other.  Against each other you get a different contrast than individually.  I try not to do that and have a stand out you can enjoy and compare it to others that support its individuality.

So in the case of new diver don't compare it to an icon which itself conjure up different feelings but comparing to other dive watches.  This way you let it live it own life rather than in the shadows  and only then will see the standout that it is.  Over time our eyes will get used to these siblings and the comparison will be more just.
