Horological Meandering

GOOD MORNING.

 I AM AN AVID WATCH COLLECTOR.  I AM PONDERING ON PURCHASING THIS NEW BRAND..

COULD YOU PLEASE ADVICE ME ON THE "CVSTOS" BRAND THAT IS CLOSELY AFFILIATED TO "FRANCK MULLER" ( I OWN ONE ) , FOR A NEW BRAND NAME IT SEEMS RATHER " HIGH PRICED" AND THEY ARE  USING A NORMAL "VALJOUX / ETA"  MOVEMENTS ON THEIR WATCHES.

IS IT WORTH BUYING ONE OF THESE "LIMITED EDITION" WATCHES??

. . . and was slightly underwhelmed . . . I didn't even ask the salesman to take one out of the case.  I was predisposed to liking them, and I don't have a problem with their design being influenced by a genuinely original watch icon, but they didn't seem to have the 'character' that I thought they would have.  Perhaps I would have a different impression if I had actually tried one on, but I rather doubt it.  I might have a different opinion if the pricing were substantially lower, but at the asking price I have to wonder . . . speculatively, Art

into high tech designs such as Richard Mille watches, then Csvtos watches are for you. However, I do agree that their prices are a tad high for such a new brand but their designs seem to be pretty decent. This is especially true for the tourbi which is nicely designed but the price for such a brand was really a bit high.

just saw the cvstos  at the AD some time ago and tried on the basic chrono. It is a beautifully crafted watch that looks like a sporty FM casablanca.

If you are looking for something similar but much more rugged, you can consider the Wyler Geneve Chrono. It has a pretty interesting history and was re-lauched last year. the range consists of  a chrono, a 8 day and a tourbillon.  JC Biver was actively involved in the relaunch of the brand.

well, i took the plunge and bought one last monday as i prefer the rugged look.
