Horological Meandering

I picked up a new one today.  Been looking for a cool sports watch for a while.  This one really struck me once it was on my wrist.  Love the brown.

Does it have the checkered dial a little like a Burberry print??

It makes the red pop out a lot and throws off the colors completely, but you can see the dial...
