There is little that I can add to the huge collection of information and images of this watch but tonight I thought to capture the movement of this piece as well as to share how the watch looks on a Chronissimo strap (I think thats how its spelt). This watch had been one of my all time must haves and since its joined my other humble watches, it has given me a lot of joy and satisfaction esp on this strap as it allowed me a greater access to enjoy the movement unlike the bracelet. While I love the bracelet, the strap gives it a new found identity.
While the movement itself is not the most complicated or most desirable, I found it quite pleasing to look at and to photograph. Its clean and relatively well put together. So for the money, I think its currently one of the best buys around - especially if there is one preowned in good condition.

And its not about how accurate or how expensive the watch is. Its about the intricate interlocking mechanisms that just ring my bells. The great fun is to actually see the levers and gears work when operating the chrono function.

I can improve on it.
BTW - since you are the Rolex Mod - I shall be photographing the GMTII Ceramic very soon ;-)

if they are beautiful movements and with open back. I still love automatics but only because of its functionality. But oddly enough once you can wear different watches during the week, the automatics with date seems an overkill.

Thanks for sharing. As good as it looks in the photos I could never get myself to like the Moonwatch, despite having owned three different versions ranging from a vintage 70s specimen to the fancy modern version.

though in my mind, it has been overused a fair bit by too many marketeers.
Anyway the strange thing about this watch is that I like it the way some love the IWC Pilot chronos. I feel the same way as you do about those watches whereas the Speedy is just so handsome on my wrist.
