I have just bought this "Orange Boy" Autavia ref. 1163, powered by the famous cal. 12 automatic chronograph movement with micro-rotor.
I have fallen for the dial that has turned to brown - it is originally black - and for the faded orange hands.
This is a very cool watch, with a large and rugged case, a great dial design and an innovative movement.
Back in the 1970's, the Autavia was the favourite watch of many famous drivers. Definitely a good choice !
And do enjoy it in the years to come!

Congratulations on landing this one. The Autavias come in various executions and colors, but they are the workhorses . . . the rotating bezels are very useful, and the rugged cases are great.
You have a very rare bezel there, with the decimal minutes . . . We don;t see many of these.
Enjoy this one!!

I don't have as many as you, only two so far...but I would like to add a "Siffert" to the family !
Cheers
Jeff

yep, got to have the "Sifferts" and the "Viceroys", and then there's the "Derek Bell" (middle row, on the left).

Even if I appreciate more the Carrera, this one, I must admit, looks awesome!
It is in my plans to get one, one day...
Congratulations.
