Horological Meandering

I'm always interested in what different watches weigh...don't know why but there are the super heavy solid gold with gold bracelets down to the RM027 which as we all know is super light..!!

So I finally bought a mini balance which I then took into work (I work as a chemist) and had it calibrated with a set of external certified weights so I know it is working perfectly.  It comes with a fixed 100g weight which now gives on the balance :

 

So here goes for your interest and pleasure :

 

So as you can see the RM027 isn't much more than a Swatch Skin which is crazy given it's size and no wonder it floats..!!

Thank you, pplater. The artist likes the applause like the desert likes the rain. The watch is a homage to astrogator Atan Shubashi who successfully astrogated the spacecruiser Orion under extremely adverse conditions during a dramatic mission lead by commander Cliff Allister McLane at the beginning of the year 3000 saving our mother earth from interstellar invaders and making sure that the Baselworld 3000 could take place as planned.

I should have known better. It’ s not the new image uploader accessing the hard disk drive of my computer but one of the keen thinkers here in this forum that gets me into trouble. pplater, you seem to have identified my hidden agenda ‘in less than the beat of a 36000 Hz movement’. Never mind. I have a strong confederate. His name is TIME. Time is on my side. The Frogs don’t like oxygen. Sooner or later they will all disappear in the safes of their owners ;-).

Which model Speedmaster Pro is that?

I wouldn't have thought the Grande Sun Moon was so light, particularly with the deployant.

I have a hesalite-sapphire sandwich Speedy. I assume sapphire is slightly heavier, and if all other aspects of the watch (particularly the bracelet) are identical then it should weigh a little less. I will report back on this.
