Hi All
Last night a small group of Melbourne watch aficionados got together again, ostensibly to discuss horology, but in reality any excuse to share a beer or two.
So here are a few photos from the evening. Hope you enjoy …

The Seiko Quartz Astron 40th Anniversary Commemorative Edition (LE 200 pieces). Great size, the curved caseback is very comfortable on the wrist, the dark dial makes legibility high, and it houses that cool high-accuracy, temperature-compensated, Cal. 9F62 ‘movement’. Accurate to within 10 seconds per year, with instantaneous date change (how does 1/2000 of a second sound for instantaneous!) and a system to prevent backlash of the second hand – did you ever realise that backlash was an issue on quartz watches?!

Arguably the most classic model in the JLC range, this 34mm Master Ultra Thin was the new pride and joy of one of our members. The clean, bright dial and narrow bezel, as well as the thin case, makes the MUT wear larger than its' measurements suggest. It just melts into the wrist and makes you part of it. Sublime. No movement shots, but you know it houses the iconic and beautiful Cal. 849.

Hope you can all join us one day!
And for those interested in seeing the previous casual GTG's:

Part 2 .

... and I didn't get photos of all of them. But it is the AMVOX2 DBS, as Aptronym points out. 44mm and in light titanium with a partially skeletonized dial. But still the chrono counters are very legible. Short lugs so it sits very well indeed on the wrist. Andrew liked!
But seeing as you requested it, this one's for you. Owned by a gentleman of distinction ...

...from JLC with the integrated chrono pushers, i mean on the watch crystal itself.
