In terms of complicatons, I'd say the Moser, of course, as a perpetual calendar is, to me, more appealing than a " simple " moonphase.
And the Moser is an interesting perpetual calendar!
BUT, there are several reasons which lead me to go for the JLC, instead:
1/ The simplicity of the dial, on the Moser is a pro and a con at the same time. I love its simplicity, very " under the radar ", but I also regret not having, under the eyes, all the calendar datas.
2/ The purpose of the Quantieme Lunaire is not the moonphase, which is more a pretext, than accuracy.
The concept behind this watch is realy interesting, the two barrels, feeding, independantly, the balance wheel ,and all the time functions, the 2 hacking seconds ( the foudroyante and the " traditional " one ) at the service of accuracy.
3/ The Duometre aesthetics: A superb case, a nicely decorated and finished movement, a great grained dial.
4/ To me, the Duometre is certainly the best offer from JLC in the world of Belle Horlogerie.
You have another option if you prefer a plain dial, which is the Duometre à Q.L in white gold: a stunning beast which adds strenght to its natural elegance.
BUT, BUT, BUT... You will be the one who will wear it, so, as usual, nobody can decide for you, it is just up to you!
Best,
Nicolas.

for want of a better term. If its the former in both instances, than the Moser P1 is it. JLC is also a much better known brand than Moser if you're ok with that. Simple and un-complex as the P1 may seem, the movement however is far from simple as you do know.
All that said, as its always been said here, get the one you prefer most (or both
). For me, you can't go wrong with both. For me, it'll be the Moser P1. Have fun in your quest.

Moser for me without hesitation. Love that simple execution of the complex perpetual calendar complication.

here is a photo for the moser.
Keep them coming!a small but meaningful (to you) collection is the right way to go. Don't rush in to impulse buys. Take your time to look, re-look and re-look a watch before you commit. The initial WOW, marketing forces can often lead to impulse buys that you could regret very quickly and if buying new, more often than not, these impulse buys will ensure you lose a big percentage off your purchase price.
Go quality that make sense to you. You seem to be off to a good start with the Moser IMO.
