I remember very well our first meeting in this small Istrian Village dear to my heart.
It was like I knew you for centuries ( which is possible, as a good Vampire I am ).
Funny and very pleasant to have seen how close we are.
That is indeed the magic of our virtual word, which is, like watches, even nicer when it turns to reality.
How many crazy moments we had, and your pictures do sum them very well.

It is true it is not a matter of quantity, but of passion, obsession and a bit of madness.
Each of these ingredients, passion, obsession & madness, got some blurred edges, and may sometimes mix in our hearts and souls.
I´m a newcomer to this place, and to the world of watch collecting, but not new to collecting of other objects, so I well know the inside of those who invest a good part of their time, life and soul, to the objects of their obsession.
So I can well understand your feelings, and the depth of your so nice words, and the passion you express through each of your posts.
It´s so good to stop a little, and take a look back to those past years, to all those 50.000 posts, and to those nice friends and acquaintances you have gathered in this time.

posts in a life time.Your perseverance in getting us to love our watches rather than being fixated by value and investment has really helped my get back to grass roots again and for that I'm forever grateful. As Gary G said your the glue that keeps this site being so successful.In NZ we have a word for people like you , its a maori word called "MANA". Google it to find its meaning.
