a cross selection of the watches on display. apologies for the poor picture quality. they were taken from a Samsung mobile phone.
The Tonda Chronograph Rivage aka "Transformer" watch...quite innovative. Parmigiani is not the first to do this, Chopard and I think Dewitt has done this before, but this one certainly feels more secure and "locked-in" versus the Chopard effort. And I think might be the first chronograph that could interchange as both wrist or pocket watch. Limited to 100 pieces.
On the wrist, the watch looks attractive. but I would definitely carry it as a pocket watch. Featuring the PF 334 Caliber used in also the Pershing and Kalpa series. Can also used as a desk clock. the fob watch holder has got two lateral release buttons, just push them to "release" the watch. very user friendly, though release pushers requires a bit of strength to engage and release.
next up, a pair of simple Tondas.
PF 331 caliber in its glory exposed. I will write about it in a separate post. (correction: should be PF 701 Caliber - thanks Pchong)
Next up, the Tonda Perpetual Calendar Retrograde, featuring a new caliber developed from the 331 base...the PF339. I personally find it quite attractive, style wise. this version featured here has a translucent see thru dial, similar to the Lange Zeitwerk Luminous Phantom. Not my cup of tea, I very much prefer the regular black dial with gold moon phase edition. It comes with a very attractive Hermes croco strap.
Again, i will write about it in a separate post. I find it over engineered, and a case of developing calibers for the sake of developing calibers. will explain why later.
next up, my old styled 8 days with its younger and larger, and semi-skeleton cousin. This piece is IMHO, the most attractive in the entire Parmiginani range with a tried and tested PF 110 caliber with 8days power reserve. beautifully executed, still signature and iconic Parmigiani. I am actually saving up to acquire this piece....cen@jkt - no front running this time please

Thats all for now folks...look out for the next post on the "star"of the Parmigiani range.....
best,
