Dear All,
The New Year provides an opportunity to reflect on where we have come from and to look to the future with renewed enthusiasm. Many of us have been involved with PuristS for years and it has become an important part of our daily lives. Through PuristS we have friends in all corners of the world with similar interests and outlooks. But we want to make the site even better and the community stronger.
We know that for every regular poster there are literally thousands who read casually and use PuristSPro for information. But we are only as strong as our contributors. So I would encourage all of you to post more often about topics you are passionate about.
How about writing a review of a watch that you own but have never explored in-depth on PuristS (even I have a few of those). Or revisit your favourite watches and tell us about your long-term experiences with them.
Grow the community by inviting your friends and colleagues to join in. The more the merrier.
Share your other interests – fashion, food, travel, design, photography, cars, wine, furniture, art – whatever other passions you have that make life more liveable. Passion is infectious and the lifeblood of PuristS.
Take more videos and use YouTube to enhance the interaction.
Use PuristS social Media links such as Twitter and FaceBook (each post has quick links to Social Media).
Post images when you can as they always bring eyes to your posts.
Give support to those who take the time to post by responding with your experiences and opinions, or just leave an encouraging note.
Visit forums you rarely go to in order to broaden your experience. Discover the heritage of brands that you didn’t know much about.
Delve into more than a decade of PuristS archival posts using the Forum Search function. Help optimize Forum Search by using full titles of watch brands and models and putting key points (key words) into your first paragraph.
And enjoy PuristS for everything it can provide.
Happy New Year.
Andrew

The high standards here are virtually unknown across the internet and that doesn’t come without everyone’s contribution and hard work.
Also thank you to all PuristS who contribute freely of their time, experiences, expertise, passion and knowledge.
Warm regards,
Andrew
You have my vote for the temple project. A place for retirement and relaxation. What may happen inside, stays inside.
Cheers

I'll try to post some interesting and useful info I've been stocking. I have lots of pics from my visits to TAG, Vacheron, AP, and other watch related places. I would like to post some in-depth reviews of some of my "unsual" watches, hope to find the time to do so.
I love this place, as I guess you all do. It's been a source to share and learn about one of my passions, and also a place to meet very interesting and wise people from around the world. Thank you all.
Best wishes for 2013.

what to do for the next 365 days.
This might sound contrary but I would perhaps like to spend more time with family esp my wife and 2 young ones in the upcoming year.
Also not to spend on impulse on any horological pieces in 2013 and meet more Purists in the flesh.
cheers

Andrew,
Thank you for the encouragement.
I am feeling down in the dumps but your post may have registered a flicker of hope on my PuristS' ECG (thats EKG for the Americans).
Maybe it was the transition from 2012 into 2013 without Mayan Catastrophe?
Maybe it was the wine(s) or pizza for New Year? How sad is that? Pizza for New Year's Eve [sigh].
Maybe it was the physical pain and medication for a rotator cuff injury?
Maybe it was just the realisation of another year into a frontier of senility?
Maybe it was because my Christmas watch has a tight bracelet and its my fault for letting the dealer take out too many links? (Horological segueway
)
Maybe it was because I did not stop to count my blessings? I'm still alive, with manageable ailments and almost all my faculties. I have a (apparently) loving current Mrs MTF and my dog is in remission. The sun is (still) shining and its 30 deg C outside.
Maybe I should take your advice and lead by example.......get off my moaning butt to post something substantial?
Diminished,
MTF
