I grew up watching the Snake, Jack Tatum, Bilitnikof (I know I didn't spell that correctly), Ted Hendricks, John Matuzak and all those guys.  I loved the silver and black but could not stick with them during the nineties when Al Davis ran the team into the ground.  They have still yet to recover :-(

. . . was one of the all-time great receivers, Raiders or otherwise.  I never personally saw him play, but remember seeing him on the sidelines in his role as a coach back in the '80s.  Didn't have the best legs around, but his hands were like glue.  Watta player!

My favorite Raider of all time . . .




. . . was The Assassin.  We will never see his likes again.

I was at this game . . .




. . . thirty years ago.  If you can't watch the whole clip, at least check in ~ the 14 minute mark for Marcus Allen's alley-oop and towards the end for Lester Hayes pick of Fouts last gasp pass. 

Funny thing, though: my most vivid memories of that game were the incredible 'wave' halfway thru, with overlapping waves around the oval  Coliseum, and sitting two rows behind Bill Walton, still having to crane my neck to see the game!
