Was rm002 ever made in TI?
Dear fellow purists,
I have been following Richard Mille as a brand closely for over a year already and have finally decided on rm002 as the model I would like to own. Carbon or Ti is my preferred choice of case material, I do know that rm002 was produced in all grey edition in blasted grey Ti, but was the rm002 ever produced in regular Ti as a regular production piece?
If anyone knows, or know of a Ti piece in the market, please let me know!

Yes - there are some RM002's out there in titanium.
At the time, it was considered extraordinary that Richard charged almost the same price as gold for a titanium cased watch. The early models were mainly gold - but the later ones - certainly after the RM006 and RM005 were introduced definitely had titanium cases. Some very later models - as occasional pieces - even had specially coated titanium casing as well: such as DLC and titalyst (not sure of the correct spelling there!).

Thank you Andrew! I have seen rm002 V1 in Ti and V2 in all grey, am still hunting for the special V2 in Ti.

I tried......
.......the Ti one when I was looking alongside a WG v2 version. I bought the WG version in the end as I preferred the weight and the shine. Not many around at all - try for the V2 if you can, the carbon baseplate lifts the look in my opinion quite considerably. The v1 in titanium I suspect is quite a rare bird. As a serial RM owner (well over a dozen pieces over the years), this and the 4 are definitely my favourites.

The rm004 is spectacular in its own right, but the rm002 is probably my favourite, maybe due to its slimmer profile.
I quite prefer the lightness of Ti RMs. Have you seen a rm002 Ti with V2?
I happen to think that V2 is much nicer aesthetically compared to V1. V1 is more demure and clean, but V2 has the edge that makes RM special in my opinion!
