Just want to get some opinions on RM repair time. My RM11 Le Mans stopped running 2 weeks after i purchased it in November. Brought it in around Christmas and I'm still waiting for the return. You would think that all RM11's share the same "engine" and a replace would make me a happy customer. Especially since we pay enough money for fast service and replacement of broken parts for a new watch....

it was sent and xmas time is not a great time as they would be shut for approx 2 or 3 weeks then depending on the problem a reasonable time is approx 6-10 weeks  but not including xmas  so i would say you should have your beauty back by end feb early march  fingers crossed  

...Another RM11 with a problem, just like mine did, date change fault then it stopped. Anyway the good news is when you get it back it will be sorted and work fine, the bad news is mine took a full 3 months.

best of luck ...and as I say try to be patient, becuase I am sure it will be a very reliable watch once its returned

Does the repair time affect the warranty period i.e. will it be extended with the repair time???

turn around time for the repairs.  However, there are two major events that have probably prevented your watch being dealt with in a reasonable time frame.  First, was the Christmas holidays.  Second, and of greater concern to the watch industry was SIHH.  All resources were geared towards SIHH for about the past 3 months.  In any case, repairs, take several weeks because they have to locate the problem, fix it, test the watch in terms of days, and then send it back. 

Richard Mille does read this forum and I know this will be a matter of concern for him.  I will also follow up with an email.

It does not solve the frustration and hurt, but hopefully it will get your RM011 back to you a little sooner.

For those who have never lived in Europe, there are a lot more days off for various holidays throughout the year. In addition, people take much more vacation than they do in most other parts of the world. I think no matter when you send in your watch, there will either be a national holiday, a local holiday, or simply someone taking a long holiday. In the winter it's Christmas, but in the Summer it's months at a time taken off from work. Just writing about it makes me miss the European work ethic.

Both........but I would challenge the Gods to use them at the same time...... something's gotta give....

But i've abused a RM002 for a couple of years with no problems at all and wore a RM10 boating, road racing on motorcycles, cars, and Karts and it has worked like a dream. I only had a RM11 for short period of time because it was just to big for my tiny wrists but my experience with RM's so far has been amazing. As for the Harley comment, I can't see a RM wearer riding a Harley. They really seem at odds with each other.

Thank God that watches and bikes are not responsible for character and behavior, would no trade one for the other

I have problem with RM 014 two weeks after purchase (It just stays dead, even after fully wound). RM take a look at the watch and decided to send a new replacement - top notch service.

I have another problem with RM 11 (chrono start stop problem), decided to bear with it and send back for repair after about 6 months wearing it, Come back almost 6 months later, all fixed and look like new!

My wife rm 7 been back at least 3 times, running very fast, the last time stay there for 4 months, problem seem to be fixed now.

RM 28, found out that it won't auto-wind (fiine when wound manually), back to RM after 2 weeks, haven't seen it ever since (a month?). Need to send it back to factory, no tools to open the watch locally...

RM 10 - no problem so far (a couple of years)

Rm 5 - dead after 4 years, regular service ( a few months) and come back like new.

So far 4 out of 6 have some kind of problem, not great record for QA. Will I get another RM? Yes, given the chance, just can't resist them 8-)

As i said before these faults on RM watches really are not in keeping with the 'cutting edge racing machine on your wrist ethos' really do find it quite shocking at this price level. A lot of the whole Mille thing is that all these cutting edge materials and designs are for reliability & durability, so it somewhat shoots him in the foot with poor QC

Snap....not having any more money is the only thing that limits my RM addiction!!..Id have one of all the models if I had the chance

and you will have money for a few more RM's LOL. I no longer tote connor around in the lambo, got a 911's for that duty which leaves money left over for Lambo repairs and another RM 8-)

...had a big house move before xmas, so fezza had to go, fleet now depleted... M3 convertible & Range Rover Sport for Mrs 5150. So cannot complain too much, and I have managed to hold onto my RM002/10 & various other timepieces, but certainly wont be buying anything else until I come up with some sort of cunning plan to earn ££££££££££££ more.

You know what ladies are like in new houses...kitchen?..yes darling £££££££, bye bye ferrari.....new dining room furniture?...yes darling..new blinds/curtains/beds/landscape gardening...5 million sq feet of new carpet ?...yes darling.... blah blah blah blah......new blooming everything

I think the most exciting thing  I can hope for in the next year will be getting permission to buy a sit on lawn mower....me & my 3 yr old will have hours of fun on that puppy...who needs a ferrari anyway when you have one of those

We have a ton in common, the lady is getting a RR sport in the next few months because she is tired of her Bimmer.
I'm already getting tons of pressure to move into a bigger house because she wants a larger kitchen and bigger back yard for connor.
I guess the only upside is I can make sure it has a large enough garage to make a suitable man cave. Once this happen I'm sure Mr. Lambo will have to go bye bye.

I have to admit I'm pretty smitten with my New P car and would chose it over the lambo anyway.
