The RM011 DLC Orange for USA!

I was at Richard Mille in Les Breuleux after the Geneve (SIHH) show and was walking around the workshops when one RM011 caught my eye. It had a blacked out case and a striking orange bezel. Something like a spec’d out super car in the showroom. You just had to have it – right?

A limited number (I think it is 30 – but don’t quote me on that), and available in the Richard Mille dealers in the USA only (that is why they have ‘family and friends’ mobile phone plans). What caught my eye was how changing the colouring of the bezel ring and the case gives an entirely different look to the watch. The strap will be the black rubber strap – looks so cool!

The first of the series are starting to filter into dealers that fall under the auspices of RM-USA. There was one in the dealer in St. Barths!













If you have a RM011 in mind, get to the dealer to see this first – you are going to love it!

I really like the color contrast of the DLC case and orange inner bezel.  The orange is a great orange because it's not a super bright orange, and it provides for additional contrast with the other yellow and red colored hands.

Some of the other past RM011 DLC color combos were too "bright" such as the below white version for the Americas.

I still like the original, tried it last winter at the AD in Paris. Incredible feeling on the wrist, it is kind of magic.

...looking at these two side by side I really would have a tough decision chosing which one, but I have to say just going on the pictures, the original 11 still looks great to me. I really would like to see the orange in the flesh, or even if someone buys one that posts on here & sticks up some daylight big res pics that might help.

...personnallly I think the white is one of the better coloured 11's....looks positviely understated in contrast to the brghter ones like the singapore. Pictures are not very good Im afraid, but only ones I could find, but Im liking the white alot!...good job we all have differing tastes, maybe thats why RM has made so many colours

and this is why some feel the original Ti RM011 is still the ultimate RM011!

So "maybe" the ultimate service would be to be able to order YOUR Richard Mille in the color YOU select ... with many options to mix/match colors for different parts... so that your watch would be truly unique.

..bit like the ferrari atelier or whatever its called, whereby you go & spec your RM11 watch at an RM boutique, chosing specific bezel,date surround, winder colours, strap etc etc and then you can order up a personalised watch.

Wonder if like cars, people would pick the 'safer' options colour wise to protect resale values!!

is the DLC version is shown without the rubber ring around the crown.  And imo it looks good!  Meaning this watch can be worn without a rubber crown ring in general and still look great.

...I noticed that and thought in some ways its a shame to cover the winder up with a rubber washer, looks great the 'naked' winder...reminds me of a miniture water wheel!
