RM16 has never floated by boat at all. I think a great watch to compliment owning an RM004 is the RM28....a round chunky & definatley Richard Mille diving watch, perfect for those beach holidays etc where you dont want to take your 004. I think the 28 is pretty much a love or hate thing for most, and I totally understand that many do not like the style, but my point being here If its another RM timepiece you are after to 'compliment' the 4, then I think the 28 is a perfect companion
Yes its not the tonneau shape, but that is why I think its a perfect companion...unmistakably Richard Mille, but you add a round divers case style watch to go with the tonneau 004, and its certainly in keeping with the RM extreme theme.

it seems like a good strategy, in the end, you wear the RM004 a great deal more than the 16 making it a little redundant. Because you love the RM004 (the main watch) so much, while you like the idea of 'saving it' in your head, and as much as you might like a 16, its not the same.
I traded my 'so called daily wearer', and now have my everyday watches and the beach watch. Its not an RM028, but it is a dive watch. And hence, the other comments are probably on point. When away from the daily routine (if you have one), the RM028 will come into its own when vacationing, at the beach, sport, and so on. Fab watch, wore it when sailing in St.Barths and it stood up well to the knocks and the activity, and not sure if its possible, but you might like to see if you could get your hands on one of the St.Barths limited edition RM028's that should be reaching dealers in the Fall (autumn).
My 2 cents as well and might have this all wrong!
