i mean other tha the limited productions such as theRM001,006,009,012,18,027,038 we have the other stream production watches (the 5 already retired) the 10,11,16,004,008,002,003,14,15 are candidates of retirement just as URWERK did with the 103 and MB&F with he HM2.

with the introduction of the new 2011 models i see the 29 a straight runner against the 10, the 30 as well is a strong contender and might even have a beat at the 11 as they have same case size but with a 10 spirit
or is it just becoming a very big array of watch ranges?

After seeing the line up from SIHH I started wondering what was going to happen to the RM010.

As a proud owner of a 10, I really like the balance of the dial better than the 29 and the 30. I understand the desire to move forward with movement designs, and there is no question that the movements in both the 29 and 30 are an advancement from the RM005S movement in the RM010, but from a purely aesthetic standpoint, I still like the 10 better.

Without knowing the prices of the 29 and 30, it would be hard to say if they are designed to replace the RM010, but I feel that with Richard's desire to do in-house movements the life of the RM010 might be coming to an end.

As both the 29 and 30 even the 11 16 and 23 are all based on voucher movements and not in-house
What about the high end ultra complicated modems are they considered in-house? They are made by R&P aren't they? Although I personally consider RM as an integral part with R&P as do they with RM so to me they are kinda in-house

If the 10 is discontinued then maybe is an end of a chapter to open yet another one just as with the 5 which evolved to the 10

Why oh why does the 10/38/002/004 etc etc etc still have a winder that looks like an afterhtought?..looks like an old nut with a bit of old rubber chucked around it. Yes I admit it suits some cases quite well...looks ok on a titanium 002 for example, but then to the other extreme, I cannot believe on a Rose gold RM10 you get the same titanium coloured winder...it sticks out like I a sore thumb, looks like an afterthought, I mean at least it should be gold in colour on a gold model.

The Rm11 has a lovely flutted design winder, the Rm28 looks great too , as does the RM21etc etc even the RM29's looks great...all those winders looks like part of the design of the piece, NOT an aftermarket bit left lying around the workshp

Sorry for the slight rant but I just dont understand the thinking behind this design at all.
