Never seen another watch using titanium 'star' screws.....quite liking this RD actually, but blimey its very RM the way the bezel is screwed down..

too strong of a word to use if you're referring to the concept of using specially shaped screws as there're quite a few other brands who chose to use 'customized' screws such as FP Journe:

I was once saying that when Hublot came out with the big bang with screws on the bezel, I too wonder that it copied AP.
As the old adage goes, it some is doing something right, time to follow them but beware of trademark or patent issues.
Perhaps one can say the same for Chanel 'plastiky' J12...perhaps it borrowed the idea from Rolex and others before.
At the end of the day, if the watch speaks to you, get it.
For the record, RM possibly infringed the Cartier Santos Dumont skeleton patent for their skull watch by using bridges of their movement as part of the indexes of the 'dial'. I may be wrong but someone please correct me.
Maybe inspired or whatever, but they look to me to be the same screws, take your point on the FP, but those are totally differant, quite like them actually, look like ninja throwing stars!.
The RD screws look exactly the same as RM's looks like you could use the same screwdriver head on them, inspired maybe a bit weak, I will stick with copy...same screw to my eyes
Not an issue, just thought it was an interesting find
