guys, i am having a hard time deciding between RM 010 and 030 Ti .  Both are a really nice watch but I can only afford one for now, please give me an advise on which one to get. (or other alternative model that fit in the same price range)

Both are great watches and you cant go wrong with either.  Me personally? I would choose the 30 hands down.  Two extra complications yeah, however, the case on the 30 I think is much nicer, closer to the classic 011.  It just speaks to me a lot more than the 10, question is which speaks to you?

 

Congrats on the choice, what a great, hard choice to make!!  There is no wrong answer,

 

One more item to think about, which should not be that much of a determining factor is this.  You will see a lot fewer 30's out there than 10's.  And should you one day decide to part with it, there are fewer 30's than 10's.  I know we are not supposed to talk about that and I am not going to use the "I word" but there is that.

yes the 30 is much less produced than the 10 but other than the size i dont see a big difference (just a super buffed 10) and the extra complication on the 30 isnt realy a complication per se

This isn't going to help you but I think the RM 10 is the perfect in size and sits perfectly on most wrists but I think I prefer the 30 in terms of movement and style. Having said that, the 10 is more classic so I think I would pick the 10 overall.

I think the 30 is quite a bit more expensive overall so if you are willing to shell out for a 30,  another suggestion would be to hold off a bit and save up for something truly special from RM like the RM004. I did something similar a few years back and never regretted it. 

The RM004 is going to be a collector's piece as it is now discontinued and if you get it at a decent price on the secondary market, it will retain it's value easily long term. Also, in view of how crazy the new RM complications are selling now, I wouldn't be surprised if these original models increase in value a bit over time.

RM is truly a very special brand so I am sure no matter what you get, you will be thrilled!

the RM 030. Especially because I like the idea of the declutchable rotor. It´s just a detail ... I know smile

as the dimensions are better for my wrist. 

If i were you, i'd see which model fits my wrist better, as i find them functionally similar.

IMO you should try both of them as you can decide which one feels better on your wrist. 

Personally I'll choose RM030 because it's more complicated rather than RM010 but it depends on the wearer as well. You should consider RM029 as well it's also a good timepieces.
