Hi cheaper,
No, that is not quite the case, I am afraid I have not been clear.
The versions don't get upgraded to new versions with a servicing. Version 1 titanium and Version 2 nanofiber are some years apart and radically different in their internal assembly and parts design. Such a change would require a whole new movement.
What I am referring to are incremental changes to some parts within a specific version that will likely take place according to the insight of the watchmakers.
For instance a different strength spring or a slightly different profile star wheel, a jewel or as mentioned a new pusher set up in the crown.
It is exactly like a car: if your bring your 4 year old Audi or Maserati in for servicing, they don't give you a whole new motor.
However, they might put a different chip in for the fuel management system and upgrade a belt or wheel here and there.
In the 002 Version 1 the baseplate is titanium; it is more authentic and rare in that original state in any case.
