I encourage you to read or re read this very interesting article written by our dear Ed 209 about the Reverso Ceniceros.

interviewed Guillermo Ceniceros Jr, who is the Artist's son, Mr Jim Koonts, the manager of the JLC Beverly Hills Boutique, and Milan Asanovic, the project manager.
You will know all about the project, since the beginning to the realisation.
While I was at the JLC Beverly Hills Boutique, I started to have an eye at the different window displays, as I always do, and at my very big surprise, I fell on a Grande 976 Reverso, whose worked case back was very familiar to me: The Ceniceros!
It was a big surprise because there are no chances you already saw the Ceniceros Reversos if you don't live in the So Cal or Mexico area, as these watches were mainly made for the Mexico Boutique, and some pieces were given to the BH Boutique.
It was a happy surprise because I always wanted to see them in the flesh.
- Indeed, the case of the Grande Reverso was the best possible choice. I cannot see the case back of a Reverso ultra thin bearing an enamel work, since it would compromise its thinness.
- Therefore, it is a superb watch: The enamel work is great, my kind of taste, the black dial is gorgeous, and the warm yellow orange patina gives a nice contrast.
- The story behind the watch is the kind of story I love: To make it short, Jerome Lambert was in Mexico for the opening of the JLC Boutique, Guillermo Ceniceros Junior contacted Jerome Lambert, an appointment was made, and Jerome Lambert met the Artist, Guillermo Ceniceros Senior.
After this meeting, the project was on!
Giving the opportunity to an Artist to express his Art on a watch is something I am very sensible to, I have to confess, and the Reverso seems to be the perfect watch for that, with its verso side.
We were in 2011... The year of the 80th Anniversary of the Reverso.
Last but not least, but this is very personal, Guillermo was, for many years, a very good " virtual " friend for almost 10 years, who turned into a real friend when I met him during my So Cal Road Trip, at the Beverly Hills Boutique. A man I appreciate a lot, with great taste.
Here are some pictures of the Stainless Steel " Ceniceros " which was made in a limited edition to 50 pieces.
We always focus, in our discussions, on enamel dials, but enamel case backs are not bad at all!
I was surprised to learn that there are still a few of them available, as I always thought that they were all sold out, which is the case of the 10 pîeces made in Rose Gold, by the way.
I didn't have the opportunity to have a look at the book which is given with the watch, but I would have loved too... I was just too short in time. A pity, as I would have loved to discover Guille's father's work.
A nice watch, with big soul and a lovely history is something I appreciate a lot!
Best,
