As a long time "non-contributor" but ardent follower of this forum ( it was in a different format when I first discovered it quite some years ago) I thought it was about time that I posted my thanks to all who contribute their opinions, extensive knowledge, acquisitions and, of course, amazing photographs.

It's not shyness believe me but I don't have an in depth knowledge of watches as so many members seem to have. Neither am I any good at photography. I do however thoroughly enjoy the discussions and have learnt so much over the years. As far as my collection is concerned it's rather an eclectic mix. Started off with a Rolex Explorer 1016 bought in the 80s (now worn by my son). This followed by a JLC Reverso Classic (a superb dress watch imho) and then a Reverso Duo. Various vintage Omega Seamasters and my father's 1957 Roamer - still going - I'm wearing it today! More recently, I acquired an Omega Speedmaster Moon Watch and my latest a Panerai Radiomir.

Well, that's already a nice collection you own. I think you shouldn't hesitate to take pictures and post them on the forum. Just give your feeling fuelled by passion that's what we love ;-)

I know nothing about the brand. I just have this see-thru watch.  Cazalea

What a curious looking watch but I love the dial. Don't know much about Roamer myself just that my father bought one in 1957 and although it's looking it's age I still wear it regularly. I will post some watch pictures when I figure out how to do it!

A great forum to make your first post.  We have a lot of passionate members on PuristSPro.  None more than our JLC Super Moderator, Nicolas.  Everything you could ever learn about this storied brand you can find on these pages.  PuristS members fully cover the JLC range, from newer complicated pieces to the countless vintage offerings.  Definitely lots of expertise in that regard; we probably have the most knowledgeable LeCoultre vintage experts anywhere in the world posting on this forum.

I'm certainly aware of Nicholas' expertise. I've enjoyed his posts and photographs for many years. I have two Reversos and wouldn't part with them!

.....i don't post here for the watches....its the fun of the people. Genuinely, it just isn't about detailed knowledge of watches....it is so much more. You should persist....

You shouldn't refrain from posting. Enthusiasm and Passion don't require a special knowledge. We share here in total friendship, and we will ALL be pleased to count a new member and... Friend. 

For your very kind and welcoming words. As I've said I've enjoyed participating in the background for a long time; indeed I sometimes feel I know some of the regular contributors so much do I enjoy reading their posts. I particularly like the camerarderie and genuine friendship that I've seen develop between people from all over the world brought together through their love of fine watches. So I will take your advice and contribute my thoughts from time to time. I may even learn how to post some pictures of my small but dearly loved collection!
