JLC with metal bracelet
It seems to me that it is a rare breed for their men's line. I've seen some Master models in the boutique but not in the AD (though they say they can get one). It's even more rare in the pre-owned market. Getting a separate bracelet from JLC cost a lot too.
What do you think about JLC Masters and Reversos on steel bracelets? Would you go for it? Do you have one?
I'm interested in a Master (Date) with bracelet since it's kind of a "stealth" JLC. Thick bezel with bracelet makes it versatile and a bit sporty too. Doesn't look like your typical JLC... maybe looks more like a Grand Seiko. I want something discrete. I don't like MUT with bracelet as I think a watch that thin should be on leather.

About the MUT on a bracelet, I totally agree with you.
Now, as for a Master which is not Ultra Thin, it is a matter of taste.
I am not a fan of the JLC bracelet, to tell the truth. I don' like the way it looks, a bit outdated, in my opinion.
And quite expensive.
Now, technically speaking, the bracelet on the Geophysic UT and True Second is impressive. It can be removed in 3 seconds, and is adjustable.
If only the look was more modern...

Think the watches are great & tend to look best on a leather strap.
Generally think JLC are pretty much stealth watches. So if the watch is on a black strap I suspect most people wouldn't give it a second glance - unless of course you bump into a bunch of people from this site!

You guys are right.
Being unpopular and expensive, it's very rare in the wild and in the pre-owned market. And it is correct to say that a leather strap is stealthy too. In fact even more discrete. Thanks for your thoughts Looks like I'll go for the leather straps going forward. Would save me some money in the process too.

Well...I *like* bracelets.
I'm probably the only person here to say that! Or at least that's how it feels.
That said I don't have a problem with leather, it's just that it doesn't work well in humid climates.
I'd be happy with easily interchangeable rubber and leather - one for the office and the other for the weekend. So I don't really need metal. It's actually the ease of swapping that matters to me.
Anyway - I will agree with Nico on the look of the JLC bracelets. But in terms of versatility...yeah, I'm a fan.

I'm a big fan of bracelets...
purely for practicality, humidity control etc. Preferably microadjustable and nowadays easily interchangeable. But I am also not a fan of the current aesthetics of the JLC bracelets (personal view).
It would nice if the new JLC sports watch ;-) could offer a suitable choice.

High price, but really excellent quality...
Problem is, I just don't like the look of JLC's metal bracelets.
I have a Reverso bracelet for the GT size Reverso and the quality and comfort are terrific; but the art deco classic look of the Reverso really needs a strap IMO. So I never use the metal bracelet in favor of a brown croc strap on a tang buckle.
I have the same feeling with JLC's other metal bracelets...they just don't work to my eyes. They are all a bit too precious looking IMO, although I think the compressor bracelet isn't too bad.
A big project for JLC is to come up with a modern bracelet.
