Ironic! It ages in reverse. Most things lose vitality and radiance with time, but a great watch only gains in power. Despite so little time since its release, I suspect that this will become a JLC classic (and possibly THE modern Memovox to own alongside a Reverso Rouge in a two-watch JLC anthology).
To be honest, I never suspected that this variation on an existing model would be such a sensation when I saw the first flat/sterile press photos. It's kind of a sleeper hit that needs to be seen in person - or at least in more nuanced photos - to appreciate in full.
Well, I saw the " Blue " in the metal before than on pictures, so I didn't have this issue. But you are absolutely true. A Two watch JLC Anthology... That would be a great game to play.

The Memovox Blue and the Reverso Red would be a strong duo. Yes. I agree that one Reverso has to be chosen, and that the Red is a good one. Or a Reverso Platinum Nr 2, skeleton or not along with a Duometre? Best, Nicolas
I don’t know too much about this red enamel reverso either.

Hi Henry,
In fact I didn’t know the existence of this watch before I walked into the JLC boutique at 1881 Heritage. You are based in HK right? May be you can drop by to have a look at it personally (If it’s still there).
Things I can confirm are that on the case back it said: “Limited Series of 8 pieces”. It also has a case code of “273.3.62” which is exactly the same case code of the blue enamel version (limited to 50 pieces). That means both the blue and red enamel reversos share the same white gold Grand Reverso case, and the same movement. (Please correct me if I’m wrong).
I’m afraid I didn’t get the Catalog number or when this red enamel reverso was made and for what occasion. If anyone know anything about this watch, please shed some light. I would also like to know as well.
In fact I saw a red dial reverso displayed at JLC boutique of Harbour City yesterday. Initially I thought it is a new old stock if reverso rouge, but soon realize it has breguet style numbers like the blue enamel. Hence searching in the forum and found your post. Will drop by to have a look if it is still available.
Yes.. This one was my second significant arrival in 2017.. A watch that caught my soul from the very first moment on.. Great pic, Nico - needless to say !

So let me humbly just amend it, with a little collage,
including the attractive caseback with the Planisphere.
Meanwhile already one of my absolute JLC loves & keepers..
I so agree with you!!! This watch is always making me smile. It is an absolute beauty. A watch you know you will keep for ever and ever ever!!! This feeling is quite special for me since I have the tendency of bein a flipper (selling to buy).
