Jaeger Lecoultre Polaris 1968 / Tribute to Polaris 1968 / Polaris Memovox 50th Anniversary. A side by side picture.
Just to appreciate the differences between these three.
The Tribute is very close to the original, we could almost play noticing the differences.
The 50th Anniversary is a different game. The spirit is here, but the outcome is different. Bigger ( 1 ) applied ( 2 ) numbers, different finish of the alarm disc ( 3 ) and outer dial ( 4 ), different hands ( 5 ), different case ( 6 ) new case ( 7 ), different crowns ( 8 ) and case back ( 9 ) and to end, different glass, in sapphire now ( 10 ).

Perhaps the numerals and the date are a bit unmatched in size on the new version compared to the 2 on the left. Not enough to dissuade me though ;-) [nt]

Do you have a picture of the 3 case backs? Also, how do you rate the alarm sound between the 3? I had the chance to handle the 50th anniversary and felt that it wasn’t so loud. May be it’s because of the noisy environmental I was in or it was due to the solid case back along with the more dense sphere Crystal or it’s purely from my imagination? Any feedbacks would be greatly appreciated.

Three great watches, of course, the vintage has the edge
but the other two are equally great, especially considering how hard it is to find a perfect condition vintage.
