Jaeger-Lecoultre Géophysic Universal Time. 2 fresh pictures.
Since its unveiing some 4 years ago, the Geophysic Universal Time is a strong love affair, for me.
The combination of a world time and an independant second, called by Jaeger-Lecoultre " True Second " is a unique concept. I don't know any other word timer which offers that.
I like the Geophysic case a lot, and the dial is very much my taste, and the movement is new and an object of admiration, for once, as I am not a big fan of automatic calibres, in general . If I don't own one, yet, it is just because I try to focus on a more important target for me, the Duometre UTT or Quantième Lunaire Enamel.
Each time I go to the Manufacture, I ask the brand to show me one, and each time, I feel the same love for that watch.
And a stronger conviction that one day, it will be mine.

It's an amazing piece, to be sure!
I love watching the True Second mechanism at work through the sapphire case back. I think it really is an amazing complication that adds to the allure of this watch. And, the dial never ceases to amaze me. It's just a matter of time, Nico.

I miss the world timer I had in my Extreme World Chronograph -- as well as the wonderful combination of chronograph and world time -- and this True Second World Time has a modest size and nice proportions in addition to being a very attractive watch. I still admire the Traditionelle and Overseas World Time offerings from Vacheron Constantin, but they are in a very different price range and play a different game in terms of finishing and technicality. This JLC is one of the most interesting from the brand in recent years. I look at it every chance I get and it is definitely one to consider.
