This little gem has swept away my desire for Rolex steel sport....at least at these times when the price is really abnormal.
The Reverso classic medium small second is perfect example of sporty dress man's watch done right... sharp lines but beautifully proportioned, dressy but not blingy. Oozes class and understated elegance.
My only small regret is that I wish i got the duoface version, so it may comes handy when travelling to different timezone. But then again, I very seldom travel now, and the added case thickness of the duoface maybe not worth it. And I bought this at a very tempting discount that is impossible to resist.
I have feeling that this may not be my only reverso in the future
But you might consider carefully if you want the monoface or duoface . Anyhow, the price of reverso feels like bargain compared to some overhyped watches now.
The proportion still OK. However I was thinking if I really need the dual time feature, as I don't travel as many as before, wonder if I should spend USD 2K more . So I got the monoface.
There is no JLC boutique in my country, only an AD, which handles so many brands that I'm afraid engraving it will take long time. Anyway I have not decide about what to engrave Maybe I will engrave it before pass the watch to my daughter when she graduate...still a long way though. Thanks
I have to say, you made the right choice. “Understated elegance” is the right term. In my opinion, even though it looks formal, you will also find it’s casual at the same time. I would also recommend personalizing the piece through engraving at JLC boutique. This same watch made me realize the joy of hand-winding.
