I adore the grey version
Such a wonderful watch. Never once saw a perpetual calender in the wild. It is an esoteric man’s watch I believe.

I think my grand-dad has a perpetual calender hidden in his collection. Not close to him, so I think I will never see it. He was the scion of a newspaper publisher, who never wanted to work a single day in his life, and worked for PWC as an accountant for a few years. Quite a playboy he was, according to family rumours.
It is a cool geek’s watch
Just look at those commenting on this post - i know one is a cool geek and another got into cool details of out-of-sync perpetuals.
I don’t wear it much in the summer…
… but it does get worn quite frequently in the cooler months!
I also purchased a grey strap from JLC
which has less contrast than the black alligator.

I've always admired the MUT Perpetual...
...but fear that the simplified design with reduced adjusters is less practical than it appears. A single pusher for everything does not help if the calendar goes out of sync. It takes a brief time to look around, say in chrono24, to find examples of out of sync perpetuals. Then off to service it should go. Same with IWC adjustment by crown. I would prefer multiple pushers.
But among these perpetuals above, i've always liked the silver one despite being less legible than the black.
Tried one back in 2018, a real beauty... but still haven't pulled the trigger to this date.
You have a point. The best system is Ulysse Nardin, with a crown which allows you to set the calendar forward and backward.

Ludwig’s perpetual calender is nice. Forward backward no problemo. I’m hoping u’d get that piece among the sea of perpetual calenders you’d been assessing.
Definitely the steel version. There aren’t many steel perpetual calendars out there in the catalogs.
