The last Amvox 2 model, I would call it transition model before 7.
Officially not a limited edition but I suspect very few were made, especially given the price premium for having the "transponder" functionality to unlock any Aston Martin model (2014). Not something I am likely to use but appreciate the effort that went into that collaboration. A memento from some of the best years of JLC when they were not afraid to push boundaries.
Visually for me this watch is best of both worlds. I prefer the hands and the subregisters of 7 but don't care about the power reserve. Also I think Amvox 7 was trying a bit too hard with racing references - eg the grill on the dial, the shape of the crown. It is of course al very subjective, ultimately all Amvox models have their own appeal.

I have been wearing my Amvox 7 and I agree that the shiny grill on the dial is a bit much because it makes it difficult to immediately read the time in bright light. The shiny hands just blend in. I do find the dial interesting though. It’s certainly a departure from other more traditional watches in my collection. I also like the power reserve and the crown. Isn’t the crown on the 7 based on a wheel nut, but even the crowns on the earlier models were automotive inspired by the shape of the fuel cap?

The DBS ones before were model specific but this one could be configured to open any Aston Martin from the lineup at the time.
I think the 7 is an amazing piece and have been tempted by it numerous times. I just slightly prefer this moderately toned down version. The details on 7 are very well executed though, including the crown. The radial power reserve is also original, but it is an automatic watch and already pretty complicated ... Again - certainly not a deal breaker, just preference for keeping things a bit simpler.

Absolutely, simple is good!
I also have the Amvox 2 Chronograph Racing which has less car inspired details and the dial is certainly easier to read.
As you said in your original post, all of the Amvox models have their appeal and I would be happy with any of them!
