It seems to me that GTG's be they JLC, Pamerai,Patek IWC, etc all seem to take place in Europe or Asia. This is very understandable as in some cases with some brands 80 to 90 percent of the product is sold there. But, you should realize that there are a number of people living across the Atlantic and it is a rare day when we see-are invited to-or have shows of important pieces. I can not understand why we would be shut ot.
With that stated I would be happy to host-co-host or help arrange for a show or a simple few days of East meets Westin NYC. I would even think of having it at our house in trhe Caymans if people are interested in traveling there in the mid-summer. I just purchased 3 Panerai's from a dealer down there asd will be picking them up as they are not allowed to ship them due to the no duty, tax or other surcharges. While I will not state prices I can say that I only went 4 figures for a Pam 286.
They are holding for me 2 JLC's. They are holding a Memovox Autommatique in 18ct white and another which I was told will be a suprise. There prices are good and I dream that it is the new JLC Tourbillon in Plat. Won't know though till I am down there
Anyway if our moderators want to think about this and some other Americans are interested lets try to arrange something. I will be headed down there next week to recuperate from a few weeks in the hospital with pneumonia-need to bake my lungs and perhaps drink more than I am allowed. NJNEUF

We had the 5 AHCI, Max Busser, U.N., A.P. GTG's within the last 3 months here in Los Angeles. Routinely get Purists fly in from Atlanta, San Fran, and most recently MTF from asia. The GTG's are fantastic, well organized, and loads of fun. You see guys with a 3 bridge tourbillion also wearing a Seiko discus burger. Another would show up with a couple of Richard Mille. Someone else with a vintage Omega or longine. Unlike other GTG's, despite the amazing pieces, it really is about the wonderful people that show up. Please keep checking the boards as the moderators do a great job of announcing GTG's.
I am in the Philadelphia area, so would not be opposed to a GTG in the near future in New York. Depending on the date, I also wouldnt mind traveling south to Florida or west to California. Whatever works for everyone!!
Can organize this kind of events... It's always nice th see all these guys in a GTG. No matter how many people will get in.3, 4, 5or 50, the most important, IMHO, is to share with others our passion, and going from virtual to reality. Best, and take care of you, njneuf!
