I feel for you on the damage to your watch.  Othershere more expereinced than I will advise you better on what to do.  But I will say that this remains such a beautiful watch. The black dial on the MM is my favorite version  Every time I see photos of it, like the one you just posted, I want one myself.  Best of luck in addressing the issue.  She's still a beauty.

But this is not the matter, this is a matter of principes...You bring a watch that has to come back in the same condition, if not better, while back form the service center.
But honestly, I hardly see this ding on your pic, my friend...

Youre absolutely right, its a matter of priciple and I will talk with the AD tomorrow since he didnt ring me back.

I am still thinking of  just leaving it because  its a small nick, all my watches have small traces of wear - its impossible to avoid so its natural. But its the first real one on this watch I have always worn it under a shirt sleeve to avoid exactly this. I have been so damn carefull with it up to now and it had been easier if I had made it myself. Had it been on the dial then I would have felt a lot different. (Kill, Kill, Kill)

Well I will sleep on it and decide tomorrow.

i think the 8 day in gold is superb whilst the squelette is sublimely out of my league

i went for the UN Ludwig because of Ludwig Oeschlins connection to it AND it being the first Perp that can be wound back and forwards so can be adjusted in 2100. i've got it in my diary to remind me. i'll be 136 years old so will need reminding

the Ludwig, like the freak and Galileo, was a groundbreaking watch, but gets very little recognition. everyone plumps for the gmt +/-, but thats a subject for the UN forum.

Then I saw, two years later, this UN PC, and fell immediately in love, with its unique Sonata Look...and the same original and nice technical reasons you gave!

So, I sold my IWC PC, and decided to keep my UN PC...

2 years later, I fell in love with the JLC skeleton PC, and decided to hunt it...And now I can tell you, the target is locked...Just the time to make some moves in my collection to fund this beauty...

But I will keep, this time, My UN PC as I love it so much.

I will just make these 2 pieces co exist, side by side, as one is original and beautiful, the other being a true masterpiece, a true piece of Art...2 different visions of the same complication, but 2 interesting visions.
