I'm very lucky and happy with my JLC pieces, Fernando, as I managed to get 4 nice examples of the great JLC Craftmanship, indeed,

with the 70eme, the Master 8 Days Perpetual Skeleton, the MMR, and the ...Duo Metre, of course.

Truely I " need " a nice Tourbillon, and I don't see a nicer one than the ..Gyro II...

But my Stable is not golden, and the Gyro II, I'm afaid, will stay in the Dream Watch Category, sadly...Except if I sell a big part of my Collection, but in this last case, I destroy something to build another thing...

Cruel Dilemma!

That watch was on the point to kill JLC creativity, Innovation ,as for many years, like an obsession, there was only place and importance for the Reverso...

Things seem to change a bit, IMO...

The Reverso is still an important watch, but some nice round treasures re appeared, and that 's EXCELLENT.

So yes, I love the Reverso, but I much prefer to have the choice, to see this maginificient Diversity shown by JLC these last years...

Love the abundance of images of so many nice JLCs. Thank you, Nico.  As I grow more and more fond of some Reversos and Squadras, I cannot say I have any preference for straight v. round lines, although my absolute favorites all seem to be round, so perhaps I do have a preference after all. I must say I like that Squadra GMT Chrono on a bracelet in your posting. Excuse me while I wipe off the drool from my EWC. 

At the rate I am NOT collecting, I am not sure when I will ever add a square or rectangular.  It's sad, really.

The Reverso is unique, patented, and an icon. There is nothing like it anywhere else in the watch industry. If I could have only one watch it would be a Reverso.

And while we're at it, if JLC can make replica's of the original Polaris, why not a copy of that original black dial Reverso (GT sized case in wg or pt please!)?

But some will tell you that the Reverso Classic is very close ( in terms of size and esthetics) to the original Reverso from 1931...

As you, I'd love to see a Re Edition of the Reverso as shown on the pic I posted, with a Black Dial, Luminova tinted as an old tritium dial, and maybe in a GT Case, as the classique is a bit too small...

To think about, indeed!

I really do love the way the Reverso's look and I would love to own one, but they don't seem to look "right" when I put them on my wrist.  Maybe my tastes will change some day but for now it's round all the way for me.

BTW Nicolas I'm honoured you used one of my photos in your presentation.  However I would have expected you to use the famous "Habanero pepper" shot instead of the one on my jewel press.

if you had asked this question only a few months ago...But since owning my first JLC (which you know is not rectangular) and joining this awesome forum being monitored by an ok gentleman that you may know lol, the rectangular is most likely the next JLC that I will be adding to my collection when the time comes.
BTW, you never said what you thought of the AP ROO!?

ROO that I appreciate, the best one for me being the ROO Orchard Road, with its stunning Red 8 and its beautiful tantalum case.

Generally, I prefer the Royal oak to the ROO, due to its smaller dimensions, better balanced, IMO.

But just a matter of taste.

First, I have to congrat and give you my thanks for this great post....an impressive collection of many wonders.

We could call this post ... "doing a great memory of History." It is appreciated that so many models to admire all together. So, thank you.

Well ... currently in my collection (so changing lately .... I think I'm sick LOL) there is no square watches, and I've only had one in my life (which I do not say for not to be placed on the blacklist ...LOL again).

Today I did not put a square watch in my collection, but if I clear that in a few years I´ll have one ... and I am clear that it will be a Reverso of JLC.

Sometimes the tastes are influenced by many things, so a square watch will have to wait a while.

However, i would recommend IMPO to take the grande taille and not the "extra" grande taille. Having the reserve de marche, i really regretted not getting the duoface. The Xtra size is just to bulky and  a little too "show-off", kind of like the Squadra.

And it is really a difficult topic...

If you're really a Purist Guy, you'd even consider that the best size is the classic size...

If you begin to prefer the GT, then the door is open to the XGT...

The Squadra is another topic, as the shape of the case is a bit farer than the XGT, compared to the original Reverso from year 1931...

But I won't be the last to say that GT Cases are not nice!

No, seriously, i didn't have a good camera for WS with me (My wife was i the meanwhile shopping and shooting in Paris), as you can see on the next skeletonized pic .... That perpetual was also amazing, perfectly balanced watch, could be my grail but unfortunately over my budget ....
